Curriculum Intent

We recognise the value of Physical Education. We fully adhere to the aims of the national curriculum for physical education to ensure that all children develop competence to excel in a broad range of physical activities, are physically active for sustained periods of time, engage in competitive sports and activities and lead healthy, active lives. All pupils have the opportunity to develop precise skills through the additional lessons with our sports development leaders.

At Corpus Christi, we work alongside Oldham Sports Development Team to deliver progressive sessions from Nursery to year 6. They also help us to run exciting after school clubs throughout the year.

Year 3 and 4 also undertake swimming lessons.
